Dinamo Player is a custom built web radio player for Istanbul’s premier electronic/indie/urban music radio station. This custom player can be downloaded for and used on Mac OS X and Windows operating systems as well as on the web at live.dinamo.fm. It features a lagometer, an audioscope, live track info that queries Last.fm’s API and various links for Dinamo 103.8′s online presence.
Dinamo 103.8
Dinamo 103.8 is Istanbul’s premier electronic/indie/urban music radio station. We wanted the new website to be simple, modern and out of the ordinary. The site features sliding panels that can be zoomed out as seen in the screenshot, completely implemented in Javascript–No Flash! There is also a Now Playing block that queries Last.fm’s API to get the artist image, info, tour date, etc. The schedule is based on an embedded Google Calendar which enables users to add select shows or all of the schedule to their own calendar. The news section pulls news headlines from blog.dinamo.fm and the download section contains many wallpapers as well as a custom designed Dinamo Player. Check it out at: dinamo.fm

An iPhone / iPod Touch optimized website for Istanbul’s premier electronic/indie music radio station Dinamo 103.8. The reason we have decided to go the web application route instead of a native App Store app is because of the fact that Safari is the only application that can run in the background. What this means is, once the music start playing, you can hit the Home button and go back to the home screen to open up other apps such as SMS, E-mail, Twitter, etc. and the music will kepp on playing. The dark colors of the design aims to bring out the big and beautiful pictures. The sidebar contains a javascript tab area that rolls 3 tabs into one in order to limit clutter on the sidebar.
